Chloé Royer invited me to photograph behind the scene of her movie “Limb”. Chloé is an artist working mainly in sculpture, she however often makes incursions in image making. Using physical tools to distort and reimagin bodies and objects. The images that spawn from these installations are three dimensional that they are closer to sculptures than pictures. For “Limb”, a dancer is observed through a large distorted mirror, allowing a new body to emmerge. Both looking at this new beeing and the appartus that made it the various bodies of the perfomer, the artist and the technicians start to melt together and creat yet another entity.
